Hibernian have issued an official statement on their website confirming the return of Glenn Middleton to Rangers. The 19-year-old winger joined the Hibees on what was due to be a season-long loan deal back in August.

I could never understand that loan move from the start.
He was supposed to be going out on loan abroad and then it turned into a move to Hibs.
He would have learned more playing European football, now it’s turned into a wasted 6 months of his development
As far as I recall, it was Middleton who was given the choice of whether to go abroad or go to Hibs. He clearly made the wrong choice!
I am not convinced that we will see much of him around the first team in the future, but hopefully I am wrong and he develops into a better player than I anticipate.
