Former Celtic midfielder and manager, Davie Hay, has given his thoughts to the Glasgow Evening Times concerning Steve Clarke’s maiden national team squad pick. The Scots take on Cyprus on Saturday evening, before facing Belgium away on Tuesday. Clarke is gearing up for his first set of fixures as Scotland boss. (Photo by Ian MacNicol/Getty Images) That…

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with what he’s said. Jack is the only player who’s close at the moment and he wouldn’t have been far off making the squad. Jamie Murphy might get a call up next season but that all depends on how he recovers. Yes we have a lot of players in the younger age groups but there’s no guarantee of how they’ll develop. Stop trying to make a problem when the is none.

You could argue both ways on Jack and I`m not really bothered as it gives Ryan a rest , but I reckon picking Burke after his performances for Celtic and in Khazakstan should be a sacking offence before he even starts for Clarke.

What you expect from hay he’s an ex Tim he’s just another  that wants to make the headlines what’s new NSE wddwa

As long as Clark is the manager you will not get any rangers players playing for Scotland as the man clearly wears green and white glasses, I did not hear Clark saying anything when Celtic came to town when his Kilmarnock home crowd where sing the sash and other sectarian song. The man is clearly a bigot and a hypocrite. On the Scotland game it was easy to see which Glasgow team supports Scotland the most by the abuse Cyprus got when they did the huddle before kick off. As usual the traditional Celtic end was empty as the will not stand anywhere near a union jack!
How long will it be before Scotland’s away strip is green and white and they are flying the Irish Republican flag over Hamden.
Scotland problem is they are too many Mic’s and not enough Mac’s in Scotland we have lost our identity a lot of that is down to the SNP.
The tartan army.
Before Sir Walter Scott wrote about Rob Roy a highland gathering was likened to a gathering of coal and tattie bags such was the love of the tartan then!
Queen Victoria and the Queens mother are responsible for the Tartan being popular today Not the highland riff raff that follow Scotland today. Read your history books bigots.
As far as Culloden is concerned the people of Glasgow lit fires in every street in Glasgow and surrounding areas to celebrate the defeat of the Rod Stewart look alike Bonnie Prince Charlie who fled back to his lover a cardinal!
Stewart I mean Charlie is now buried in the vaults of the Vatican Via his homosexual cardinal lover.

God Save the Queen.
