Morelos’ agent Jonne Lindblom might’ve just dropped a huge hint about Alfredo Morelos’ future at Ibrox. Lindblom runs the Scandinavian office for sports agency World in Motion and looks after the Colombian’s affairs. This morning, he left a cryptic tweet that hinted at the future of one of his players. And it won’t exactly fill…

I’m unconvinced by Morelos and his reliability. He does score goals but also misses many ( a bit like McCoist used to do!) However we could do worse that resigning Shankland and pairing him with Defoe. Just an opinion.

Hmmm I really hope this isn’t why Hardie has been brought back from loan, Morelos offers so much more than just goals. We need him to push for 55 this year, only way I’d be okay with selling him is if whoever bought him gave him back to us on loan till the end of the year. Even then I’d be disappointed. I realise we won’t be able to keep him forever but another 18 months at least would be good.

Like others, I would want to keep him for 55.

But could cope with him leaving then if we brought in Shankland and Hardie

Shankland and Hardie aren’t quite there yet to say they’d fill the Morelos role if he left. It’s quite simple , if we lost Morelos this window we’d also lose our shot at the title, now more than ever we have a realistic chance here and losing our star player is not the way to go about it. He is so much more than a goal scorer, the assists and the work rate he puts in is overlooked a lot. For a team struggling to put a lot of the chances created in the back of the net , then throwing in untried SPL (shankland) and Hardie, not for me. Defoe as good as he was is 36 and will score goals but won’t have the same work rate as Morelos and can’t expected at 36 to play 90mins every week. Hold off till the summer when we’ve had the full season from him and also more value added to what he brings from now until then.

I thought that Rangers had more sense now than to even think about parting with Morelos what a player he is he is a bit rough but boy does he make and score goals for the Gers. He gives 120% in every game
Put your foot down Gerrard and tell the board if he goes I go if you want any chance to win the league this term.
