I do tend to be critical of Tav’s defensive abilities with the number of goals (particularly against Celtic being lost in that area) but he was defensively outstanding against Sinclair and hopefully that will be the norm now. What no one cannot fault is his workrate and his number of assists for a full (wing) back is excellent.
He’s been a far better defender this season, than any other season.
We cannot get rid of him, under Gerrard, his physical attributes are suited to this side.
I’ve never understood the criticism that he gets, however, I think he’s winning fans over this season. He’s now playing with far more confidence, this is probably due to having better players around him.
As I type this, I hear there is a 7million bid coming in for him, I’m sure most Rangers fans would not be keen to lose him.
