Half-Term Report: Andy Halliday

Following on from James Tavernier, we’re going to bridge the gap between defence and midfield with Andy Halliday. What a turnaround it has been for the diehard Ger this season. Under Caixinha, he was ostracised. Sent off on a ludicrous loan move to Azerbaijan and Gabala FK. Halliday was left frustrated by his situation last…

Love him. Love all Rangers players, especially those who are Rangers fans, but Halliday most of all. Been through the wars, never stopped believing.

For those who think he is not skilful enough, you are probably right. But when skill will not do, the refusal to give in will take you that extra step. The need to fight for the badge, the club, the fans will find another 1%.

I ask you, is there anybody out there, any Rangers fan who can put their hand on their heart and say honestly that they think Andy Halliday would have walked in 2012? Would not have stayed?
If there is, you are deluded.

When 55 comes, apart from Ally, Wallace and Jig and the others who stayed, the man I will most want to see lift that trophy will be Andy Halliday, one of our own.

Totally agree with skibadly! Halliday loves the Club and gives 100% all the time. Sometimes he gets beaten but, never gives up! Shame he’s not right footed…I’d play him ahead of Tavernier, who sometimes avoids tackles like a 10 year old!
