Former Partick Thistle manager Gerry Collins has somehow blamed Rangers for the Scottish national team’s woeful performances. The national team struggled to a 2-0 win over San Marino days after a thumping defeat by Kazakhstan as the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign got off to a shambolic start. Everyone blames rangers for everything rather than facing their problems the sfa are to blame for the countries failures not rangers

Another well known tim who, like the rest, line up to blame everything on us . He completely forgets that we were sent town to the lower leagues and have been rebuilding since so it is only now that we have youngsters getting close to the first team .The bigger question for Scotland should be , why are experienced professionals playing in the top leagues in Scotland and England either not being picked or choosing not to play ,ie McGregor , Jack , McArthur , Ritchie , Snodgrass , Cairney and Bardsley to name a few . Even ignoring someone like Berra to go with two inexperienced centre halfs is criminal .There is a place for introducing youngsters , but they need support from experienced pros .

Poor nonsense from Gerry Collins. The problem was when Rangers were demoted to the bottom division in 2012. You can see that our young players are now the main part of Scotland U19 and U21 squads. If we had not been incorrectly demoted perhaps Scotland would have been a perfect shape. However, what about the other teams in Scotland!!!

The last player rangers promoted to the first team lasted 5 minutes before being hacked out of the game for months and what did the ref do nothing. The blame lies squarely at the SFA and refs door they offer no protection to ball players allowing the hammer throwers to hack them out the game. Something needs to change but it isn’t rangers.
