Former Dundee manager Neil McCann has told the Scottish Sun he believes Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara is now worth at least £10 million. Arsenal [Daily Mail] and Sheffield United [Scottish Sun] are the latest Premier League clubs to be credited with an interest in the 24-year-old, after a stellar first half of the 2019/20 campaign…
Best way to value Kamara, or anyone else, us to ask yourself “if this person leaving cost us the league, how much money would make me happy”
Personally, wouldn’t consider selling a first team player in January for less than Pogba use £150 million. Wouldn’t guarantee the league next season though, so doubt I would agree even then.
Once we have 55, I can see Morelos, Kamara, Aribo and possibly Barisic all leaving over a 12 to 18 month period. But for very big bucks which allows us to rebuild.
Couldn’t agree more with the sentiment that every decision at the club should first and foremost be viewed through the lens of ‘does this help 55?’
However, hypothetically if Arsenal came in and paid silly money tomorrow for Kamara (say 20 mil never mind 150) we could take it and replace him and still make a material and tidy profit.
Everybody has their price even in these circumstances, with the exception of Morelos who genuinely is irreplaceable right now.
