Ex-SFA chief and self-confessed Celtic fan Roger Mitchell has sarcastically pleaded with Celtic to declare the league null and void and bail Rangers and the rest of Scottish football out. The outspoken former SFA supremo was talking as the debate rages on over the outcome of the domestic league season in Scotland. With leagues suspended…
The solution to this whole thing has already been touted by Michael Beale. In the interest of sporting integrity the league should be decided on points after each team had played each other once at home and once away (i.e 22 games ). Celtic would have 58 points with their 22 games completed , we would have 56 points after 21 games with a home game against St Johnstone to come .So, when football is given the okay to start , instead of having lots of games there would be just one .If we win , we win the league, any other result they win .They could play the cup semis on the same day and the final 3 days later and the season would be completed .
Simple and fair to all.
