Bring up the top 2 teams in Championship for a 14 team league
Play each other twice - Split into 2 leagues of 7. Play each other twice, for Title/Europe and Relegation. This fixes the problem of some teams getting more or less home games, keeps the money making OF games TV want. Total 38 games, same as now.
If it works, continue to see if we could support 18 team league. To be honest, I don’t think the mid table Championship teams could survive at the top, and I don’t think anybody wants to give up 4 derbies a season in Glasgow, Edinburgh or elsewhere.
But if 14 team league worked, with 2 promotion/relegation and a third place subject to a play off between 12th and winner of 3/4 playoff it would retain interest, spread money more widely
