With Gerrard and McAllister it was only going to be inevitable they would find midfield talent. Bloody obvious they would spot a good player in this area, the old adage (it takes one to know one) totally rings true. However they need to now take heed of their experience and see how it is working and bring in somebody to spot talent in defence. A Davie Weir, Davie Robertson or even a Davie McPherson any defender called davy who played with Gers…(joke). We need a defensive coach and a guy who can also spot talent because I believe that in the future this is where we will struggle. A guy who knows gers inside out is a must. My man would be big Lorenzo but Davie Robertson seems a good shout given his exploits in Kashmir.
