Good luck to David Bates. He was good in the air, but his standard move on the floor was to punt it straight back up the field to one of the opposition…his “distribution” was hopeless!
The current Centre Backs at Ibrox are much better…Goldson is a rock and Worrall and Mcauley fit in well, although Worrall makes me nervous sometimes (Dundee for example).
Anyway, I hope David Bates does as well when he gets in to the top Bundesliga Division next year?
Great country/league/club for him to learn his trade. Hopefully he goes onto great things for the sake of the national team.
Yep, agree with you there, definitely an old fashioned defender. Thought Worrall didn’t look anywhere near the player Rangers thought they were getting, up until the Old Firm game. He was magnificent on the day!
Would be interesting to see if Bates could cut it in one of the best leagues about.
Big club with great facilities and a big fan base. An ambitious outside the box option and he seems to be reaping the rewards!
