BT Sport host and Scottish football broadcaster Darrell Currie has taken aim at Tom English for comments the BBC Scotland sportswriter made about Rangers’ Ryan Jack. English had previously criticised Ryan Jack for showing emotion at the end of the Betfred Cup Final [BBC Sportsound 09/19/19] defeat to Celtic, praising rival captain Scott Brown’s perceived…

Cameron,
While I would like to think his position will become untenable, the sad truth is that until the institutional bias and hatred is rooted out, his views will be protected and encouraged

English has stirred up a Hornets nest with an idiotic statement even his Peers are distancing themselves from him.
Will he come out with an apology…I won’t hold my breath

Since the cup final we have had English slagging Jack , Caldwell slagging Tav and various soap dodgers slagging Alfie .All personal attacks and nothing to do with football .
I get the feeling that the doing they got in every aspect except the score ( and that was due to a blind linesman) has them worried.
Our guys need to use this as motivation now to go on a really strong run in the league and then beat them at the piggory .

I wonder if the BBC actually have a “Anti Bullying Guideline” because to be honest the way Mr English is taking personal potshots at Ryan Jack it does not look like it?
Has Mr English got any personal knowledge as to what was behind the emotion Ryan showed after the game? I was always under the assumption that a good well respected journalist would not just jump to conclusion before committing to a statement.Real journalists would have confirmation or at least a second source before jumping in !! Of course most of us would not use that term to describe Mr English but others would and they all seem to be in BBC Management. I would respectfully ask, “why Mr English thought it was ok to use a obvious sign of emotion to question his persona?” “Why he had to use a rival, why not a teammate going through the same experience?” Does Mr English just like getting Scott Brown into any discussion about our Club? Mr English seems to favour having a go at all things Rangers and by staying negative will at some point come back to bite him in the behind.
