As much as I would love this, I just can’t even believe it could be possible. He is too close to the Liverpool first team to entertain the idea, we have no chance of this one. Even if he were to decide that he needed regular playing time instead of the odd cameo appearance from the bench, I’d imagine a whole host of other premier league clubs, and teams throughout Europe would be interested and could offer more than double the wages we would be able to offer. Not sure what he’s on at Liverpool, but almost certain it’s a lot more than we can afford. The pull of Gerrard is strong, but not that strong for an already established player with international pedigree such as Lallana.
I’m with, Mike on this one, I’d love him here, but there will be a host of clubs looking for him. However, we cannot undervalue the, Gerrard effect! Who knows.
What it does tell me is, Scottish football is being talked about down South again, Joe Cole was waxing lyrical about us today. With that in mind, anything is positive.
*possible, not positive.
