Speaking to the Daily Mail, Castore co-founder Tom Beahon has addressed the role played by Rangers manager Steven Gerrard in the club’s new kit deal. When asked to comment on rumours about Ashley’s involvement, they have cleverly confirmed that Ashley is not their largest shareholder. Which is not the same thing as stating he is not a shareholder.
I appreciate their wish to keep private shareholders private, but I think a simple statement, “Ashley has no shareholding or financial interest in Castore” would be a good way to set minds at rest.
Interesting that they chose not to make that simple statement. And Worrying
