I think they are now fighting for different jerseys. Rossiter is competing for a CDM jersey, with Jack, Kamara and McCrorie, while Docherty now seems to be playing a bit further forward, evidenced by his goals/assists stats. That would imply he will compete with Arfield and Dorrans and any new number 10 we bring in. Although he could also play in central midfield.
If I could only keep one it would be Docherty as he is Scottish, but happy for both to fight it out next season. There are others we can drop, but glad SG has the decision, not me
