Rangers icon Barry Ferguson has insisted that some of the criticism aimed at Gers captain James Tavernier has been “way over the top” after he came in for stick after shipping two goals in the defeat by Young Boys on Thursday night. The skipper made momentous errors in the build-up to both Young Boys, leading…

It’s easy Rangers news to make somebody look bad if they Cherry Pick all the bad points on Tav and ignore the good points.
The positives outweigh the negatives

I think he has been off form this season compared to his usual, but these calls for him to be dropped and stripped off the captaincy are just nonsense and a total over reaction. Some of our “fans” should realise they risk destabilising the club with their continued criticism of Gerrard , Tavernier , Goldson , Kamara and now I read Arfield .
Players go off form , managers make decisions that don`t work, but we need to be united in support if we are to get where we want to be this season.

We’ll never win anything with Tavernier in the team!

Shut up Ferguson ya clown. You sit wi yer daft pals on that wee YouTube channel knee capping our players every week. Tavernier does deserve to be dropped and no just for the two howlers the other night. If that was a league game that would be 3 points lost and we canny afford to lose any points but I’ll bet he does it again. I prey he doesn’t but am sure he will. SG is always banging on about if they ain’t playing well they’ll lose the jersey lol aye ok. If that was true half the team would’ve lost their jersey. SG needs to practice what he preaches!

Polster must be a bit fed up if he does not get an opportunity to show what he can do, maybe Hamilton game today would give Tav a chance to rest recharge batteries etc. Why have Polster if he is not given opportunity, tav has gone off the boil. For team moral and togetherness surely other players need to get opportunity when others under perform especially when they come back from a real test both physically and emotionally. Helander also had a stinker and was just as much to blame for those two goals lost against young boys, failing to cut out cross and pathetic header straight to guy who set up 2nd goal.
