The Scottish Sun reports that Aston Villa are considering a £10 million move for Ryan Kent. The 22-year-old winger enjoyed a fantastic 2018/19 season with Rangers, on loan from Liverpool. Kent turned out 43 times in all competitions. (Photo by Ian MacNicol/Getty Images) He scored six times and notched the same number of assists in…
Like every Rangers fan, we’d love to keep Kent, if not permanently, then on loan for another season. However he is not our player, if his parent club get offered more money, they’d be foolish not to accept.
But… I don’t think we should ever underestimate the Gerrard and Liverpool effect, I’m convinced they will do all they can to help Gerrard be successful, for me, Gerrard will be their manager one day and therefore they will support him.
On a separate note with loans, I’m hoping this will be the last season of loans, the youth/reserves are developing well and should start to appear in the first team. Gerrard has also brought a number of young players to the club. Fingers crossed we see the equivalent to the ‘class of 92’ emerging at Ibrox soon.
If they dont get promotion they wont be signing anyone for the kind of money Liverpool are quoting .Financial Fair Play rules means that they will be selling assets like Grealish just to stay afloat and legal.

Like you, I would love to see Kent return and think there is still a chance. However, I have no objection to a loan or two, IF we do not have a youth player in that position who is ready to step up. It strengthens the team and means you can concentrate your resources on another area. Also, you may be able to access a player that you cannot afford. Like Kent.
I think we are strengthening the youth teams well and would like to see three or four of them make the leap. It would save us money, make us money if they move on and they will have been steeped in the meaning of the club. But while it would be great to see an equivalent of the Class of '92 emerge, they are famous because it is so rare.
