Glenn Middleton is one of Rangers and Scotland’s top talents. A direct, skilful winger with a mean cross, he’s been one of the major success stories of Rangers’ season so far. But he’s still only 18 and has some way to go before he’s the finished article. Yet, due to injuries in particular, Middleton finds…

It must be really difficult to perform in a team that is lacking confidence. The fans were screaming for, Middleton to play, now there’s a wee bit of negativity towards him.

When the teams playing with confidence and winnng, the young man is outstanding, today, I watched him cut back twice instead of shooting, a few months ago, he would have scored.

He will come good again, but I think we are a wee bit short of real leaders on the park just now, we as fans don’t help, the first sniff of a bad result and we are all over the players. At the start of Gerard’s tenure the team and fans were united and the football was good, now the team are jaded and we’ve injuries, the football has waned slightly and the fans are on them.

We will be better after the break and then we will see the Middleton we enjoy watching.
