Pundit Alan Brazil thinks Rangers would be “outgunned” if Newcastle were to make a move for manager Steven Gerrard after Rafa Benitez left St. James’ Park. I think Alan is mischief making! Steven Gerrard plans to be the next Liverpool Coach, when Jurgen Klopp decides he has had enough. That could be a long time coming!
Meanwhile, Steve wants to be somewhere where he can win things and add to his CV…Rangers!
At Newcastle, he’ll be unable to get into the top 6 and won’t enhance his chances at the Liverpool job! Doesn’t matter who the owner is, it’ll take a long time to get Newcastle into the top half of the Premier League…never with Mike Ashley in charge!
He’s with a supportive Club now and he stands a great chance of winning big in Scotland. He doesn’t need to risk a move to Newcastle. If I was him I’d watch what happens to Lampard at Chelsea…he’ll be gone within a year…and count his blessings that he’s going to build up his reputation at Ibrox!
If he wins the SPL and a couple of Cups, that’ll look good on the CV
No I think Alan is hoping Rangers will be out gunned by Newcastle. When you look the two managers SG and NL its not hard to work out who was the best player and who has the most experience. If someone asked you who is the manager and you said SG. They would say a great player, ask the same question in lets say Spain /Italy. You would say NL and they would say WHO!!. I know I have done it.
