Is it time we talked about John Beaton refereeing Rangers matches?

Another dispiriting Rangers result, another spate of infuriating refereeing decisions, this time from controversial whistler John Beaton. As Steven Gerrard’s side fell to a 2-1 defeat against Kilmarnock and dropped 10 points off the pace at the top of the Scottish Premiership, Rangers fans understand the performance was miles off what is expected. But when…

The standard of the referees in Scotland are a joke they are either unable or unwilling to officiate to an acceptable standard and as such we should be looking at the possibility of drafting in foreign referees who will not be swayed by the usual hype surrounding our games. If nothing is done as I suspect will be the case then it will detract from our game and the biggest talking points will be just how inept the officials are, this problem has to be addressed now if a manager or player isn’t up to standard they are replaced but the referees no matter how incompetent are allowed to continue with their inconsistent and under par performances.

Spot on with your assessment. It is about time the club commented on officials cheating Rangers. The performance was poor, with too many players lacking the fighting spirit needed to maintain a challenge. However, that shouldn’t let referees off the hook for being patently biased against Rangers.

I’m not the type for conspiracies, also coincidences but in every game Rangers have dropped points, there seems to be a number of refereeing anomalies. That’s not to mention games we have won, the standard of refereeing across the board is atrocious. Last night game Tav was manhandled, Beaton gave a free kick but did not book the player, this happened in another game when Alfie was rugby tackled to the ground. Last night Beaton didn’t see the hand ball from the Kilmarnock player but saw a push to disallow a goal. Its time the Rangers board were more vocal about this. if it were the team from the east end they would be screaming for a review from the rooftops and in court.

talk of poor refereeing standards should be kept for another.time. we got what we deserved last night for a pitifull performance. the league is gone. complaining about refereeing now just looks like undignified whinning. time is better spent identifying the real culprits for where we find ourselves now and clearing them out from our club. no room for half hearted players or a manager that turns on them in public to deflect from his inability to influence games that are getting away from us. clear out and rebuild now.

Spot on about Beaton…Yes Rangers were poor but a poor display doesn’t necessarily mean a poor result.Just as a great display doesn’t grant u a great result. If Beaton had got his decisions correct Rangers would probably have won…even with the team playing poorly. So don’t blame the team for Beatons errors…and there were many!!!
