Hibernian assistant head coach, John Potter, has spoken out following the controversial SFA ruling on a touchline incident during a Premiership clash between Rangers and Hibs in December, as quoted by the Daily Record. Staff from both clubs were involved in heated exchanges on the Easter Road touchline after a horror tackle from Ryan Porteous…

It will not come down to what either coach says.
The SFA will already have looked at cctv, and will have Police witness reports on the matter.
The fact that Porteous committed a dangerous and horrific challenge on a Rangers player, is seperate to a Rangers or Hibernian coach thinking what happened on the field justifies storming the opponents dug out.
The Police must have already unfortunately testified that it was the Rangers coach that stormed over to the Hibernian dug out, otherwise John Potters statement would not have been accepted. Obviously John Potter has simply confirmed, what the SFA had already been told.
I also think this new rivalry between Hibernian and Rangers that has formed since their time together in the first division, and in particular the 2016 Scottish cup final, is good for the Scottish game, but unfortunately it is boiling over in to borderline criminality, and is going to have to calm down a touch, otherwise Hibernian in particular are eventually going to find themselves in hot water, as i would say out of the two, Hibernian are the more excited right now. Every game against Rangers they are involved in some incident.

Looked to me that both coaches squared up to each other and were pretty much in the middle of both benches when they met.My verdict would have been same punishment for both coaches…surely!!!
